Strengths
Manilyn is steady, attentive, and enthusiastic. She has almost a decade of work experience, where her expertise lies in customer service and administrative or clerical work. She’s confident and comfortable in using the English language, both in its written and spoken form.
She started out as a cashier at a local stationery shop. Aside from handling and keeping record of cash transactions, she also performed basic customer care duties, such as making sales referrals, introducing new products, and resolving customer complaints. She got promoted and eventually monitored the work of cashiers on a daily basis. She generated and maintained daily, monthly, and yearly account-related reports and managed and reconciled financial and banking activities.
She then moved to a company in the mobile retail business, where she began as a sales assistant, then became an administrative assistant at their head office. Apart from her customer service responsibilities as a sales assistant, she was also involved in stock control and management. When she moved to the head office, she was in charge of compiling and maintaining information of their ledger and balances, as well as verifying or investigating discrepancies and reporting them to their immediate head. She also once acted as the personal secretary to the president.
She then ventured into the call center industry, as a customer service and technical support representative, catering to American customers for their mobile, landline and Internet services. As a frontliner, she processed account or service requests, answered inquries, and assisted in level 1 troubleshooting.
Her experiences in different work environments with also varied tasks allowed her to develop her organisational, time-management, and multi-tasking abilities, as well as her attention to detail. She also improved her communication skills — English and soft skills — as she dealt with local and foreign individuals. She has proven herself to be good in following instructions, handling documents, and dealing with time-sensitive tasks. Plus, she has a very pleasant and positive demeanor, which allows her to easily blend and work in this type of industry.
Other Information
Manilyn loves travelling with her family, especially to beaches. It has been her life-long dream to have a resthouse of her own, by the beach, where she would grow old. When she’s home, you would always find her in the kitchen, preparing or cooking food for her family. Just recently, she also learned how to bake.
She shared that one of her biggest achievements in life was being able to send herself back to school, even while working nights.
