ABOUT SCARLET

Scarlet is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who completed three years of a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy before graduating with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting. Since joining Affordable Staff in July 2023, she has been working in the general accounts space, gaining hands-on experience supporting day-to-day financial and administrative operations in a fast-paced client environment. She brings a strong foundation in financial concepts, combined with a structured and analytical approach to her work. Outside of her professional pursuits, she enjoys reading books and watching Korean dramas, reflecting her calm and focused personality.

Onboarding Training and Assessment

At Affordable Staff, we ensure that every team member develops a strong foundation in administrative support while gaining an understanding of Australian business practices and cultural nuances. All VAs begin with general admin training focused on real estate to build versatility and core competencies applicable across various roles.

Our training program for Accounts Virtual Assistants includes foundational bookkeeping tests, a basic accounting refresher, and specialised modules introducing Australian accounting and taxation. Trainees learn about business activities, entity reporting, accounting ledgers, and gain hands-on exposure to accounting software such as Xero and MYOB, including tasks related to bank feeds, payroll basics, and invoice processing.

The program also covers key taxation concepts, regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to individuals and businesses in Australia. It concludes with assessments and certifications in Xero and MYOB, ensuring VAs are prepared to support real-world accounting functions.

This structured training equips our team members with both general administrative capability and specialised accounting knowledge, allowing them to provide reliable and effective client support.

Affordable Staff Tools Training

Tools Training is a key part of our onboarding, ensuring team members become comfortable using the core platforms that support daily operations. This includes LastPass for password management, Outlook for email and calendar coordination, TechSmith for screen capture and recording, Hubstaff for time tracking, Zoom and Teams for virtual communication, OneDrive for file management, and Trello for task and project organisation.

For Accounting VAs, additional focus is placed on Xero and MYOB, where trainees gain hands-on practice through guided exercises and simulations. This helps them build familiarity and confidence in using these systems to support day-to-day accounting tasks.
