Interview with Nicole
ABOUT NICOLE
Nicole is a detail-oriented and reliable administrative professional with a background in hospitality, client coordination, and property management support. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management and brings a calm, methodical approach to her work, supported by strong written communication skills and a high level of organisation. Since completing her initial training and testing, she has continued to demonstrate consistency in managing real estate administrative tasks accurately while adapting well to Australian property management workflows.
Outside of work, she enjoys watching anime, reading books, and participating in church activities, which reflect her calm, imaginative, and balanced personality.
Onboarding Training and Assessment
At Affordable Staff, each team member is equipped with a robust understanding of administrative tasks, alongside a strong appreciation of Australian business practices and cultural nuances, ensuring they are well-prepared to support clients effectively. While this training starts with real estate, the skills acquired provide a comprehensive overview of general admin competencies, ensuring that trainees are versatile and capable of supporting a wide range of administrative tasks.
Affordable Staff understands that residential tenancy agreements vary by state. Our basic training covers general principles across different locations in Australia, and we emphasise the importance of client-specific training to address unique requirements.
Through this training, Nicole developed specialised knowledge and practical skills aligned with the Australian real estate industry. Her training began with an introduction to the fundamentals of real estate in Australia, including viewing videos and reading articles to understand the market’s nuances. Practical exercises, like processing property management tasks such as invoices, lease agreements, and routine inspections, are central to the curriculum.
These exercises provided Nicole with a strong operational foundation in common real estate procedures while reinforcing accuracy in data entry and record management.
Affordable Staff Tools Training
Tools training is an integral part of the General Admin training program, ensuring our team members gain proficiency in essential software used in day-to-day operations. Our team members were introduced to LastPass for password management, Outlook for email and calendar organisation, TechSmith for capturing and recording, Hubstaff for time tracking, Zoom and Teams for virtual communication, OneDrive for file management, and Trello for project management.
Each session combines guided instruction with hands-on application, allowing Nicole to apply the learnings immediately in simulated and real-world scenarios. She is knowledgeable in securely managing passwords, organising and categorising emails, capturing and sharing visual content, tracking work time and productivity, conducting virtual meetings, handling cloud storage, and managing projects effectively.
Additionally, time permitting, she received an overview of property management tools such as Property Tree, Property Me, Console, DocHub, FileSmart, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat, Console Gateway, 1Form, Inspection Manager, REST Professional, Palace, Maintenance Manager, Realworks, and CoreLogic. This comprehensive exposure ensures she is well-equipped to adapt to client-specific systems and workflows.
